A month of goodbyes. A month that always seems like the true start of the new year, when hope feels as if it could be tangibly grasped, a month of both unseasonably hot days and grey cool ones. When he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. A month of impossibly blue September skies as summer slipped away. Our King makes gardens in barren places where nothing at all should grow. An overwhelming month, but a good one.
“Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage.” – Psalm 84:5
