June

A month that did not go as planned. I trust the One who holds my heart in His hands. Of the moon hanging bright in the morning sky, of blazing hot days and cool evenings and unexpected rain showers. Of quick chats with friends, of glad, glad joy for them and profoundly deep encouragement. He is making all things new. A month of glimpsing the all-encompassing width and breadth and depth of the love of God. Of storytelling and laughter, of being reminded that from the rising to the setting of the sun, the Lord’s name is to be praised. A month of mercy, of courage and craft and quiet worship. Of hard-won health and chirping crickets. You brought me from the darkness into glorious light. We have been given so much more than we deserve. Love has won.

Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days!” – Psalm 90:14
