A month of blue seas and golden sand, of white birds on the wing. Of seeing Jesus on every page of the Bible. Closer, Lord, to You. Of green mountains sloping into the sea, of bright sunshine and wind-blown rain. I lack nothing at all. A month of writing paper after academic paper and loving it but being thoroughly exhausted by it all. Of long walks haunted by quiet, friendly butterflies, of drifting asleep under the noonday sky, of fiery sunsets. He Himself is our peace. A month of dwelling in the shelter of the Most High God. Where else would we go but to You alone? Of remembering that Jesus is always the answer. That we are a chosen generation…His own special people…called out of the darkness into His marvelous light. Oh, how He loves us. They crucified Him. So that we might live forever. It is well with my soul. A month of the unending, ever-needed grace of God.
“For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation.” – Ephesians 2:14
