November

A month of tawny russet fields under blustery skies. Of walking in the rain and tilting my face to the sky to let the raindrops wash the fog out of my soul. Of loss and tears and saying goodbye to our Opa. Of geese flocking together in soggy fields of green before winging their way southwards. He makes me lie down in green pastures. Of beauty so quiet it could break your heart, of gleams of golden light in the westering sky glancing off of ruddy hills across the valley. Of an abundance of warm drinks…I managed to have coffee, cocoa, cider, and tea in a single day. A month of thankfulness, running deep and true. Of flashes of blue birds against scarlet trees, of evenings shot through with wonder, of seeking out moments of joy. Where Jesus is, there is peace. The world is brimming with beauty, if we would only lift our eyes to see it. We have been brought into the kingdom of the Son of His love. There is always hope. My heart has found a home in Him.

He has set his love upon me, therefore I will deliver Him…” – Psalm 91:14
